The transformative education offered at Scottsdale Prep would not be possible without the generous and passionate commitment of our Parent Service Organization (PSO). As a parent and/or guardian you have joined a community of like-minded families dedicated to the success of Scottsdale Prep and its students.

• • Don’t forget to continue using the Amazon link to make purchases and use SPAPSO.ShutterflyStorefront.com to order from Shutterfly or Tiny Prints. Both earn money for SPA at no extra cost to you.
  • Parent Wine Tasting Club: Scottsdale Prep has a parent wine tasting group that meets once a month during the school year.   If you are interested in joining, please contact Mary Beth Orson at orsonfamily@hotmail.com
  • Thank you to Jen Murphy, Laurie Langford, 8th Grade Parent Hosts, and Teacher Appreciation Committee for hosting a wonderful garden party for the SPA faculty!
  • Thank you to those SPA parents who helped hand out popsicles to celebrate our community as part of the kick off of community investment.

Upcoming Events

• Weekly Senior Class Krispy Kreme Donuts Sale!

  Thursdays from 7 am – 8 am in the kitchen.  Cost is $1.50 per donut

• October 14-16 – Used Uniform Sale for the Fall 2019 during conference week. The sale will be open Monday, October 14 at 9:30 am until Wednesday, October 16 at 11:30 am in the SPA library. If you are considering donating outgrown uniforms, now is a great time so they can be included in this sale. Thank you to all who support SPA through the used uniform sale! • October 16 – First SPA community Food Truck Festival on Wednesday, October 16 from 12:00-2:30 pm. A great way to celebrate the completion of the PSAT (9th, 10th, & 11th grades)!  It’s a half-day so bring some cash, grab your friends and enjoy music, food and beautiful Scottsdale weather. We are looking forward to hosting DK Dogs, Sweet Treats Ice Cream, Gourmet Mac-n-Cheese, Pizza, Panini and Pretzel Trucks on campus. All SPA students and parents are welcome!
• Middle School Families: We are so pleased to offer the 6th-8th Grades Etiquette Class again this school year! There will be a fall session that will run Monday-Thursday of conference week, October 14-17, 1:00-2:30PM.  The cost is $150 per student, payable in advance by check to Scottsdale Prep. Please contact Kathleen Anderson at MSsocial@spapso.org to sign up. Space is limited! See the attached flyer for more information.
• October 25th: Turning Distress into Success by Katey McPherson. Please join us for an hour presentation followed by a question and answer period on student stress and strategies that parents can use to help support their children. • October 26th: Middle School Harvest Festival. There will be hot dogs, popcorn and corn hole! A DJ will be inside for the dance at 7 pm. Costumes are encouraged! Click HERE to make donations for the dance and use the Harvest Party Payment Portal to buy tickets.

   

Volunteer Opportunities are abundant and we look forward to meeting you and working with you to help SPA be the best educational experience for our children. Fingerprint cards are required for certain volunteer activities.
